My mum, dad, and twin sister play board games at our local pub in Oxfordshire every Monday evening. One Tuesday morning my dad explained he'd woken up in the night with an idea for a card game, which formed the basis of CHEF!

I spent the summer of 2025 on my break from my University course hand painting 65 ingredients cards. The first one was the carrot, and my dad was so impressed it gave me the impetus to paint all the others! Here's a photo of my originals which I keep in a special box at home. 

It's been an amazing journey bringing all the different pieces together - including designing the box, and the 'recipe card' rules. I have always been afraid to share my art, but my dad gave me confidence in myself by trusting me with his priceless idea.
